Research Quest III: Presenting Your Project

When we compose new arguments that attempt to shape, change, or challenge identity and social constructions of meaning, it is important to practice sharing our work with audiences outside of academia.  To accomplish this “practice” – we are going to use the final days of 104 to present our media in the “public” of our class community.  Here’s what you need to do:

  • Present your mini research documentary to the class
  • Use your individual reflection memos to explain both the original argument AND the process, purpose, and new audience of your qualitative or quantitative research
  • Reflect on the digital composing practice and what you might do with it in the future
  • Include a 1-2 page handout (one copy is fine) covering your main points (use images if you can!)

This presentation should be between 10-12 minutes long and should make creative use of course readings, lectures, outside media, etc – to teach the class about the public identity issue your work addresses AND the process of using person based research.
