Participation:
Participation in this course involves not only being an active participant in class discussions and activities, but also includes all in-class writing and collaborative work assigned throughout the quarter. I will expect you to come to class prepared to take a quiz, talk during discussions, actively participate in group work and peer revising, and express your ideas through short writing prompts. When you are absent from class you miss the opportunity to earn points for in-class work and participation. As stated above, three absences will not count against your grade, but any work missed as a result of those absences will not be made-up, so consider participation a very important key to your success in this class.
