Office Hours, Email, and Additional Help:

I cannot encourage you enough to take advantage of my office hours; talking with your instructor (in this case, me) one-on-one, outside of class is a fantastic way to be academically successful throughout your college career.  If you are unable to attend my office hours due to work or school conflicts, please feel free to schedule an appointment with me.  Your success in English 104 is a real priority and goal for me and I will always match your own effort and enthusiasm towards reaching that goal. I will NOT, however, edit/proofread your draft. Keep in mind, I may have several students at any given office hour, so I will NOT read through a draft of your essay; please come in with some specific questions or specific passages you want me to consider.

Also keep in mind that I do have a life beyond my role as your 104 instructor.  In addition to managing courses for over 100 writing and design students, I am also a parent, researcher, and person.  I will always do my best to respond to email inquiries addressing information NOT CONTAINED IN THE SYLLABUS within 24 hours.  I will not, however, be available via email between Friday, 5pm – Sunday 5pm and during holiday breaks.
